Arena Energy is an oil and gas company focused on the Gulf of Mexico. Its scientists identify drilling projects which are then developed by Arena Offshore, its operating affiliate. While not exactly a household name, Arena Offshore has quietly become the Gulf’s most active driller—outpacing the likes of Shell and Chevron.
Arena tapped SPINE to create a web presence that reflected its status as an industry leader and conveyed credibility to potential business partners. The company also had several other communication objectives targeting different audiences. Internally, Arena sought to instill a strong sense of company history. Young potential hires needed to understand the exciting work occurring in the Gulf even as the onshore shale boom dominated the headlines. For the general public, Arena wanted to highlight its corporate citizenship and the key role of oil and gas in America.
